If you are the parent or guardian of a 14 or 15-year-old, you must apply and pay for a work permit before your child is allowed to work in any job except agriculture or domestic service work. A work permit fee of $10 is due with your application. Your child's employer is required to reimburse you the $10 fee no later than your child's first paycheck. Please note that the application fee must be paid before your child is legally eligible to work.
